My family and I were nonhunters when I married into the Feathers family. After sitting around watching football on tv and talking with the women that first year, I decided to get in on the action too. I have hunted the Feathers farm since 1978 and also bowhunt behind my house in Iola. I've seen some large bucks at the farm over the years, but the largest I have harvested is the infamous "crab-claw" taken second weekend in 2005. It was a heavy beamed 7 point and weighed 179 lbs.
